Marcus O’Donnell BEng (Hons) FIRP
Director
Marcus founded the company in December 2015 but has been a successful and enthusiastic technology recruiter since 1998. Originally an Engineering Graduate most people will hear him comment that “he was always better at talking about engineering rather than doing it!”
Hence a career in engineering recruitment seemed particularly well suited.
During his career Marcus has worked across a variety of different sectors and markets. He has built and lead teams, nurtured and developed successful partnerships with small start-ups to large international businesses and has demonstrated continually that persistence pays when it comes to tough recruitment challenges.
Although he has tackled most types of skills and job types within engineering and technology he is particularly passionate about software and electronics, systems engineering, mechanical design and analysis, complex mathematical modelling, simulation and control related projects. The trickier the better!
Running a small business doesn’t always leave as much spare time as it could. However, Marcus still finds some time to play rugby, go to the gym, attend live music concerts, watch films and of course enjoy wonderful time with his family.
Honesty, integrity, and knowledge are the values and foundation stones on which Marcus Webb Associates has been built. These are values that Marcus has always treasured and aren’t only for the workplace.
Katherine Smallwood BSc (Hons) FIRP
Principal Consultant
Katherine was the 2nd member of Marcus Webb and joined the business in June 2017. Katherine has over 11 years’ experience in engineering recruitment and has worked across many industry sectors from Off-highway and agricultural machinery to Automotive, consumer goods, marine systems and robotic and automated equipment.
Katherine is passionate about working with talented individuals from mechanical, electrical or electronic backgrounds from concept design through development and into management and can really understand your motivations and aspirations to match that with those of her clients.
She is incredibly driven and honest and is not afraid to push the boundaries of both clients and candidates to create successful partnerships that may not always seem obvious to others.
When she is not busy recruiting Katherine loves working out in the gym, hitting the punch bags and beating her personal best on the deadlifts or relaxing with her three rather large and fluffy cats!
